Welcome to Just Penneys..

Well, I'm glad you found me!

I've learned that blogging is sometimes like talking to myself, which is becoming the "norm" for me these days. Really!
It's quite the challenge and time consuming. The satisfaction it brings to me comes from communicating , learning and sharing with so many people, most of them strangers in "space"..
You know what I mean!

If you click on any "follower" , or below, on "other inspiration", you'll see what I mean...
There's so much to learn, find peace in or just have fun cruising! It's endless!

There are artists, writers,poets..
Great photography, design, and fashion..There's something for everyone, trust me!
I can't wait to visit them each day, or even each month..

A warning ! It's addicting. You can't visit once.. You'll need to return, again and again.

What fun you'll have!!!! And oh,the places you will go...

My advice?
"Sit down, step in, and hang on!"
Have fun..
I love hearing from you..

xo,
Penney

REDOUTE

"Redoute 's" bouquets and flowers are favorites of mine. I especially love the red and pink roses..I always seem to incorporate them in my work somehow.. This is a 20 inch glass (very heavy!) serving platter. It's a gorgeous celedon green . I have decoupaged a digital copy of a lovely Redoute bouquet, and elegant rice paper napkins underneath. I love working with these particular napkins !! They are just perfect for working on or under glassware. They also work well on light colored woods. Because they're so delicate, and extremely thin, when applied, they become almost transparent. You can create layers or just play with the transparencies they create...I have been having trouble finding them lately. If you happen to see them anywhere, please let me know, would you? The back side was painted with a burnished , antique gold acrylic paint and has a crackled look. I then sealed it to protect it of course, which makes it food safe. A wonderful art display on an easel? , or a fabulous wedding gift..Perfect for serving something special to family and friends !! When used for serving food, it should not be submerged in water, but gently hand cleaned..I hope you like it !! Going to finish up my a.m. routine now, and leave you with thoughts of springtime flowers, and hope you have a great day !! xo, Penney p.s. Just realized that the photos were uploaded sideways! I'm sorry...Grrrrrrr.....
