..I have been recently diagnosed with breast cancer...this past week...
Getting ready. Lots to do...
I come from family of no fear, strength, courage, support and love...
That's all I'll need..
I needed you to know so I wouldn't just disappear, as I have in the past..
Can't wait to get back on track and share myself and my life again!
So much to share.

My Dad

I think because of all that's going on in the military, for so long, I'm just in a very melancholy mood. I miss my dad a lot..

Tina, from English Muse is hurting from this recent loss of her dad. I so understand her loss and pain. I was so close to my dad, till the end.
He was a Navy man, full term, and I think of him every day and I'm actually glad he can't see what's going on here right now. I think he'd be very disappointed.
What do you think?
Off to dreamland for awhile,  so I can  visit with  my dad..

September 11th, A day to Remember, and to Grow Stronger

Haven't posted for a while. Does it take really , really painful, or tragic things to shake me, wake me up? I'm here, right now, and Sept. 11th will always be a painful,tragic and very hurtful day for me, and the country I love so..
It also impacted people from many other countries, and always will..
This is a disgrace to the people and their families that did this. They know who they are.
Please take time tomorrow, Saturday, September 11th, to think about the people that perished,that were brave,and the ones that continue to work for our freedom.
Freedom starts here, at home, in the US..
Be grateful and humble, but never forget..

Sunday Morning Blues

Good Morning from the desert.. It's Sunday morning, about 10:15 . I've been looking everywhere for my new funny bunny friend. (still haven't learned his name) He's been quite secretive these last few days..humm? Just found him! Looks like he burned the candle both ends alright.. Have a look at this, and don't laugh too hard. I'm sure he has quite the headache. He'll be upset with me for sharing his Sunday morning condition. Hat Tricks by Penney Stone I have been really having a great time with decorating my hats, bags and slippers again.. Need to order more of everything.. Today's been quite the test Working, shooting, cropping and I can't believe I am posting! My head is spinning, but I am really excited and so happy to be working on hats and flowers again!! It must be this calm, desert lifestyle that has turned my life around. I just am so happy to have a new vista, and a fresh start in my work also.. What do you think? Honey, I'm Home.....

Hi !
Just letting  you know that the move to the Ca. desert went really well.
I've unpacked most of my "toys" so I intend to get back to work now.
I like it here a lot. A huge culture change and of course, the weather is to the extreme, as very different from Boston.. It was about 110 today. A total learning experience on how to deal with the summer months, then, the rest is just paradise! For me, waking every morning and seeing a blue sky, sun and flowers is a real delight!! I still can't believe my eyes when I open the shutters!!!!
This adorable, wooden rabbit is my 1st, new best friend here. He (or she?) was here when I got here. Haven't thought about a name yet.. Any ideas? I just adore this funny bunny!!! The face really has a lifelike expression. It's like I think it's concerned about me having someone around during this transition. My nickname has been Bun for a very long time, so, it's a warm, fuzzy to have this special friend be here to share my life with...
I want to thank you for your notes of support and encouragement these last few months. It really helped a lot.
I am trying to figure out exactly what I will do, so bear with me. There are many options, and I need to take time and do what feels best..I am thinking about my hats and straw accessories again. I think you can view them on flickr by clicking on my photo..
So good to sit down finally, and write. I have missed you all, and sharing.

Busy..Intense Times....It's All Good

Been away from what I love, and that's writing,and sharing with you all...
Crazy here.. Never seems to end.. It's all good.. We are excited, and preparing for our new adventure...A move...Yes, again, but a different one, indeed....

Thinking about all I miss right here, on a daily basis, and it just kills me..
The upside? I will have so much joy catching up with you all and spend the quality time I so enjoy..

I have been sleepless in N.E., and really looking forward to some restful nights in the near future!

I call that loving someone, and caring....I'm thrilled to have it!

It's called a "self help" book?
It's small, but has incredible, very, very special inspirational quotes in it that I find very comforting and helpful for everyday life..

I have chosen to share this one with you today..
I read it this a.m., and it stayed with me.. helped me think out my work progress..

Daffy for Daffodils...

It all started when I bought a bunch of tulips and a few daffodils..
The tulips started opening so soon, and I feared that the daffys wouldn't
catch up in time, but on the 3rd morning, this is how it looked when I came downstairs! I was breathless!! Such a magnificent way to start my day!! Simple
pleasures, and great inspiration for me...
I 'm working on the Nantucket Daffodil Festival Weekend this year..
It's opening weekend for the Island..
A fun weekend for lovers of daffodils. The cars, dogs, children and everything is covered in daffodils!!! Fun to see,  and a great way to spend a weekend!!
